Another Tag

So since Faa and Imp already decided who won "Lets tag Weema" I am responding to Faa THEN Imp...

What will happen to your e-mail when you die?
You know, I've often thought about that. I was even wondering if you know hotmail would give me some sort of prize for using my email for the longest time...
Urm... I guess it would be discontinued since I wouldnt use it.
I'll have no need for it when Im a ghost, I'll be able to annoy people in person, AND get my revenge on people that send useless forwords. [I WILL be a ghost - mind]

Did you try once to give the password to someone? If yes, what kind of relation that you have with this person to trust him/her and give him/her the key of your secrets?
Well, once. I had had a fight with my sister so I put a password on the computer and back then I thought I'd NEVER speak to her again. Always happens, you resolve to NEVER speak to them again and 10 minutes later...
Anyway, I decided to NEVER speak to her again and set the same password for my computer as my email. *rolls eyes* And then shalf an hour later she needed to use it so she came and asked me and obviously by then I had even forgotten what the fight was about and was in theresnowayimmoving book reading mode so I told her the password. She probably forgot though.
Does that count or have I wasted your time?

Spot the Difference

Sometimes you have to see past what other people cannot.
You have to ignore what everyone else thinks and just give people a chance.
Everybody has flaws, and they are aware of them.
Very Aware.
Oftimes the only way they can make themselves feel better is by making you feel worse, if for a moment.
And when you know that, when you are aware of what they are doing, what good will it do you to rub it in thier face?
"Oh I don't take shit from nobody!"
Well good for you, and that helps you how?
Let them vent.
Let then laugh.
It'll give them a little boost, a little up in thier day.

What I can't stand though is when they take it too far.
When it turns spiteful.
When they try to pry something hateful out of every conversation.
When everything you say is something to poke fun at.
Then again, around that time everybody else too starts to notice what's going on.
And this person is oblivious to it.
Oblivious to the fact that while they're jabbing at you they're making a mockery of themselves.
And even if you told them, you might as well had not for all the attention they'll pay to you.
For all the good you tried to do them you're suddenly jealous and trying to make yourself feel better by stepping on them.
And they're "...not too stupid to see that"
Its all one vicious cycle.

Why bother then?
Because sometimes it works.
Sometimes you brighten someone's day by not rubbing their losses in their face.
By laughing at their jokes that arn't funny.
By listening to what they have to say without bettering them by one.

Give people a break.
We're so busy with our little popularity contests that we don't care who we hurt along the way.
We don't see what's actually being said and done.
In the end how much will it matter weather or not you said something clever about her that made everyone laugh?

Some one that you forcefully laugh along with?
Or someone that can make make you smile?
Spot the difference.

Breaking

It. Is. Humanly. Impossible. To. Do. More. Than. Two. Chapters. Of. Math. A. Day.
Its like you do one chapter, fine.
Two - tired.
By the time your'e halfway through the third one its like "You gotta be kidding me..." and slam the books shut.
I want to rip all my math stuff up.
This is my bajillionth revision of the book and my mind has decided to stop mathing.
I forgot how to add for a minute. I took it for a sign and decided to take a break.
So here I am breaking.
You know you can actually feel a physical shift in your head when you switch immediatly from differenciation to integration. Its like flipping a switch in your head back and forth, back and forth, back and... Ow
Also I need to get that revision book from Julia but when I'm going to brave the traffic and get it from her is beyond me...

A moment of shallowness - ESCADA!
I love that perfume - Escada Pacific Paradise - aaaaand *drum roll* Igotitformybirthday!
squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

So here it is. Couldn't be bothered taking a picture of mine so here is one from the internet. Its a different box though...

I sprayed it on my wrist and now can't stop smelling it...
*sniffs wrist and melts*

I think my love for pink things, hearts and other girly stuff alternates with my love for black, silver and sleek things every year. I think the coming year is the girly one...

Oh "The Wheel of Time" series by Robert Jordan is very good if you're willing to put in the time. I am in the middle of the series but happened to come across a boring chapter (only the second of its kind in 4 books) and then had to study so my reading is at a standstill...
sigh

Its a lot easier to say "Sigh..." than to actually sigh, and easier to say say "Gasp!" than to actually gasp...
Also when you're really tired and you type in CAPSLOCK you get tireder.
Unless its just me.
No but it really does take a lot out of you.
I have something to say about cages and stereotypes but it'll take to long and I have to get back to math...
Wow I think this entry reads as rushedly as it was written.

Edit:

Lookie!

My first ever photoshop attempt.
My mum was horrified at the choice of colour... :S
I asked my brother who had just stopped playing WOW what colour her skin should be and he not being bothered said purple. So purple she be. Like a night elf. :D

There was no way I was going to waste time doing her hair on such a low resolution picture. I had no idea how important that was. I couldn't put in half the deitails I wanted to because of it.
(the drawing isn't mine)

Also I used far too many layers and couldn't work with the colours properly. I learned how to use the burn and dodge tools though and how opacity makes a difference, and the difference between soft and hard brushes. All that on my first try! I'm so proud of me...
Really rushed...
Back to math...

Feet! Our sandy sandy feet...

See, we asians already have the skin colour all those people in bikinis and little speedos are trying so hard to get...

Karen playing with ants in the sandbox. Under the swing's post. The swing that was swinging wildly from post to post...

Dilini wanted me to delete this one because it made no sense. But I didn't cuz it makes perfect sense. The black is my tied up skirt, the murky stuff is the sandy water and that flash of peach is my leg. The photo was taken by me of me in the water...

Mariam washing her feet in tree pee...

Ok this is scary. As the evening grew dark, the beach emptied out. So I look up from whatever I was doing and there are like 20 of these black figures across the horizon. I was almost too scared to go back into the water... almost...

'Tis getting late and I think my eyes are protesting at having contacts in for over 18 hours. Oh about those - I looked and looked and couldnt find them. So for like 2 weeks I wore glasses to school. This weekend I looked again - nothing. Then, just as I was leaving the house I ran into my room to get something and THERE THEY WERE! So I put 'em on :D

Goodnight

Roots

I feel rootless.
When the grown ups talk about running willy nilly through the streets of Pakistan under the watchful eye of neighbors, of waking up for suhoor to the sounds of parathas being made, of making mischief in their neighborhoods, playing cricket in the morining, swimming in the shallow well, playing tricks on thier girl cousins, Eid visits that would last three days, enduring the teasing and taunts, the ghost stories, the weddings and parties, when they talk about the foods they ate and the clothes they wore and they talk about going back. That's when I feel rootless.
I've been living in the gulf all my life and the yearly visits just arn't enough. They're too formal, too much to do in too little time. Too many people to see and catch up with. Clothes to buy, bank work to handle and then before you know it you're back home. And even though you've had a blast, you're happy to be home. You miss it like crazy, but then you're home. Home.
The only home I've ever known is this.
Here.
Sand dunes and forced greenery, construction sites and school, shopping malls and parks. Here home is home becuase its where the immediate family is. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. Its a wonderful life we live. You may disagree but I do not resent living here. Its become home, the afternoon heat, the traffic jams, the shopping in malls or on the streets, the having to drive everywhere, DSF, the abayah clad women with enough makeup on last the rest of us a year...
Coming back to the point -
Its not that living here is bad, its just that when you leave will you be missed? Is there going to be any memory of your passing? Someone to say "Hey her, she lived here, we miss her." Someone that you come back to visit, or something you come back to see.
Everybody is leaving to study. Everyone I know will not be here for more than two more years.
Two years.
In Two years Dubai will be completely different. One of my firends left for a year, she came back and couldn't recognise the roads. I remember standing in the sports hall and looking out beyond the field a mere two years ago and you couldn't see anyhting but open ground. I was just standing there agian last week and there are so many buildings! It looks nothing like it used to.
With that much change going on its only your home as long as you're here. To see it change, to keep up with it. I thought - you know everything else aside at least I'll have the school if nothing else. Something solid and unchanging in this fickle world. With the people gone at least the bulidings will remember me. Its stupid, but I felt a link.
Hunh.
They're planning to breakdown the current school buildings and reconstruct over the field.
...
And it doesnt help that everyone just wants to get away. Leave as fast as possible, go as far away as possible. And I'm not trying to stop the inevitable, I know everyone was bound to leave some time. Its just that that is what we are. That is why this is home. The people we know and the world we have created for ourselves here, and instead of slowly erasing away the broken lines part by part, repairing them and drawing fresh lines so as not to spoil the picture, soemone will have just wiped the slate clean and left us with nothing...
I guess what I'm trying to say is:
This IS home, for now, but with your family and friends moved on and nothing that you recognise for miles, will it still be home?
If not then where is home?

Mufasa's Family Tree

Tadan!
Here is the family tree of Mufasa.

:D:D

For those of you who don't know, Ahadi is Mufasa's father and looks like him but with a black mane. Uru is his mother and supposedly has dark fur like her son, Scar.
Mohatu is eitherAhadi's father or Uru's father. This is not known for sure. He does however look like Mufasa his fur being a different hue. I've shown him as being Ahadi's father for simplicity. It is a popular belief though that Uru was the royal heir.
Sarafina is Nala's mother.
Nuka and Vitani are Kovu's brother and sister respectively.

Just thought I'd educate you Disney ignorant people.
Its amazing how much variety they can force out of these lions.
...
I really MUST find something more productive to do...

Edit : It was never known for sure who Kovu's parents were. He was adopted by Scar and Zira and chosen by Scar over his own two older children to be the "future king". It is a popular belief that he is Zira's son but like I said - not sure.

Do not doubt my Disney knowledge!
